About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own the analytical core of engagements, including data collection, analysis, and authorship of key deliverables
  • Assemble and validate registry, EMR, benchmark, operational, and financial data sets
  • Perform quantitative analyses covering outcomes, length of stay, adverse-event variation, physician-level variation, documentation gaps, benchmarks, patient migration, leakage, and market position
  • Build ROI, cost-impact, revenue-sizing, and growth-opportunity analyses
  • Conduct stakeholder interviews, surveys, and workflow reviews and synthesize qualitative and quantitative findings
  • Author findings, prioritized action blueprints, scorecards, and implementation or growth roadmaps
  • Build and maintain data request templates, calculation and risk-adjustment logic, benchmark data sets, and performance trackers
  • Run the day-to-day of concurrent 16- to 24-week engagements
  • Build and maintain project workplans with milestones, owners, dependencies, and status
  • Serve as the primary day-to-day partner contact for working-level and mid-management stakeholders
  • Lead client-facing kickoffs, working check-ins, and final presentations
  • Facilitate working sessions and stakeholder interviews and hold partner-side owners accountable to deadlines
  • Surface delivery risks, scope creep, and stakeholder resistance to the Advisory team
  • Coordinate internal contributors across Clinical Services, Product, and other teams
  • Support pilot offering delivery and Business Development conversations
  • Capture partner feedback and recommend changes to offerings for scalable delivery
  • Document technology or data support needs
  • Convert successful pilot practices into repeatable methodologies, templates, and enablement materials

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3+ years in healthcare consulting or a related field
  • 2–3+ years in an operational, quality, or performance improvement role within a health system
  • Cardiovascular registry depth: STS Adult Cardiac Surgery Database and NCDR CathPCI
  • Working knowledge of hospital clinical quality programs and registry data, or direct experience working with clinical quality or registry data
  • Able to work in a pre-launch environment where the methodology is being built while it is being used
  • Demonstrated ownership of the analytical core of client engagements, moving from incomplete data sets to defensible, quantified findings
  • Strong project management skills, including workplans, multi-stakeholder cadence, milestone tracking, and driving others to committed dates without formal authority
  • Comfortable serving as the day-to-day partner contact with clinical and operational stakeholders
  • Experience presenting analysis to, or facilitating improvement work with, physicians
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint
  • Working comfort with data visualization tools such as Power BI and Tableau
  • Working comfort with AI tools for analysis such as Claude and Copilot
  • Clear written communication, able to draft deliverables that need editing rather than rewriting
  • Preferred: familiarity with STS star ratings, CMS Care Compare, and U.S. News methodologies
  • Preferred: formal performance improvement training such as Lean, Six Sigma, or the IHI Model for Improvement
  • Preferred: clinical, HIM, or CPHQ background
  • Preferred: prior experience taking a service offering from pilot to repeatable delivery
  • Preferred: project management experience or certification such as PMP or CAPM
