About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead quality assurance efforts across MSK's web applications and digital platforms
Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites using JavaScript-based frameworks
Build and enhance automated testing solutions using WebdriverIO and support Playwright proof-of-concept exploration
Engage product owners, designers, and engineers to gather undocumented requirements and reverse-engineer specifications from existing functional sites
Perform hands-on manual testing for new features, bug fixes, and production releases
Execute functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing across multiple web properties
Use AI to build and maintain automated test suites more efficiently and effectively
Partner with product owners, designers, developers, and business stakeholders to understand application functionality and testing requirements
Contribute to QA processes, automation roadmaps, test coverage improvements, and quality standards
Report to the Principal Software Engineer

Requirements

What you’ll need

4+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with a strong focus on test automation
Experience using agentic AI to create or improve automation test suites
Hands-on experience developing automated tests using JavaScript-based testing frameworks
Experience with WebdriverIO or Playwright strongly preferred
Working knowledge of PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and modern web application architecture
Experience working within Agile/Scrum software development environments
Familiarity with regulated digital environments and requirements such as HIPAA, accessibility standards, privacy regulations, and secure web applications
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate business needs into effective testing strategies
Ability to balance hands-on execution with strategic thinking and continuous process improvement
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on quality and reliability
Self-directed, detail-oriented approach with the ability to work independently and navigate ambiguity
Curiosity, collaboration, and a proactive mindset for understanding complex systems and improving user experiences
