About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of the College and its academic and extracurricular programs
  • Articulate College programs to prospective students, families, guidance counselors, and the community
  • Recruit prospective students through high school visits and college fairs in the assigned territory
  • Cultivate relationships with guidance and college counselors
  • Increase application and deposit activity and provide regular territory analysis and feedback
  • Assist with daily Office of Admissions operations through presentations, interviews, admission events, Open Houses, and Accepted Student Receptions
  • Conduct email, social media, and phone call campaigns
  • Meet departmental goals for inquiries, applications, admitted students, and enrolled students
  • Complete, review, and convert applications for the designated territory
  • Collaborate with financial aid, advising, registrar, and other campus offices to support applicant-to-student transition
  • Maintain and update travel and student records
  • Perform other duties as required
  • Travel overnight in the assigned territory and work regular evenings and some weekends

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of six-to-twelve months experience in recruitment, public relations, marketing or a related field, preferably in a college or university setting
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation/communications skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, faculty and staff
  • Effective time management, strong organizational abilities, attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple tasks with minimal supervision
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Experience working with office equipment and technology (Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Willingness to travel extensively
  • Familiarity with making online travel arrangements
  • Strong work ethic with a high degree of professionalism
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Regular evening and weekend work are required
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Spanish speaking preferred
