About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Supervise physical construction according to contract documents, building codes, and project compliance requirements
  • Work with the Project Manager to document and maintain reports for delays, work-arounds, shutdowns, and tie-ins
  • Resolve jobsite personnel disputes and lead and inspire teams
  • Maintain relationships with customers, subcontractors, vendors, Project Managers, Superintendents, and field labor
  • Manage quality assurance/control for MSS scope and schedule
  • Attend all inspections and project meetings
  • Manage the MSS tool tracking program for assigned projects and personnel
  • Forecast and manage labor and equipment levels
  • Organize labor to complete jobs on time and budget
  • Read blueprints and equipment installation manuals
  • Solve job-related problems and provide solutions to the Project Team and/or Field Ops Manager
  • Liaise with client representatives
  • Track project progress and report weekly to the Field Ops Manager and Project Managers
  • Manage project safety and assist the safety manager
  • Coordinate daily job operations with Project Managers
  • Manage subcontractors, vendors, and labor while controlling work accuracy and quality
  • Identify and report problems or deficiencies to the Project Manager
  • Document onsite activities affecting progress or compliance
  • Interview and select field staff
  • Conduct safety talks and maintain check-in sheets
  • Perform employee performance reviews
  • Perform other duties assigned by the Company

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with construction experience as a Lead Superintendent
  • Proficiency in managing site logistics and contract operations on tight urban sites
  • Competence using Microsoft Excel, Word, and Project
  • Knowledge of all phases of construction
  • Experience and proficiency in all divisions of work, methods, materials, scheduling, and cost control of project scope
  • Strong technical and communication skills
  • Ability to maintain a current, complete set of project documents, blueprints, revisions, specifications, and related items
  • Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience accessing, reading, and completing system installation from a BIM-coordinated project
  • Ability to work with a variety of tools
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
  • Must successfully pass a background check and drug test
  • Must have OSHA 30 certification
  • Bachelor's degree or completion of a technical training program (or equivalent) preferred
  • Ability to meet the stated physical demands, including lifting and climbing
  • Ability to work in the stated construction-site conditions
