About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Assist with all work related to HVAC/Mechanical/Industrial projects
Measure and cut pipe according to requirements
Solder, braze, thread, and groove pipe
Install hangers and carbon steel pipe up to 24 inches
Repair malfunctions, breakages, or leaks
Test pipe systems to ensure safety and functionality
Communicate professionally with management, superintendent, and customers
Follow all safety policies and procedures
Observe, report, and correct unsafe work environments
Collaborate with other workers to complete projects
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need

2-3 Years of experience fitting pipe
Must have personal hand tools required for the position
Present yourself in a professional manner
Ability to communicate clearly with Foreman and follow direction
Ability to show up on time, ready to work and in uniform
Must successfully pass a background check
Must successfully pass a drug test
Ability to identify, install and repair mechanical pipe systems
Ability to read blueprints
Ability to recognize, set up and operate hand and power tools common to the trade as needed
Knowledge of cutting and welding methods
Ability to abide by basic safe work practices
High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred
Ability to perform the stated physical demands, including lifting requirements
Ability to work in the stated environmental conditions
