About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Install and certify fire safety product lines
- Guide installation processes and ensure quality and safety standards are met
- Add devices to existing systems and certify systems after modifications
- Perform minor repairs and programming changes to maintain system operation and reliability
- Interact with customers or general contractors to ensure work meets expectations
- Communicate schedule availability, material needs, and job-related issues to the Project Management team
- Complete assigned tasks on time
- Support emergency service call-outs on a rotational basis
- Perform other duties assigned by the Company
Requirements
What you’ll need- Two years of experience in commercial/industrial fire alarm systems
- Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, and specifications
- Ability to read and interpret technical and parts manuals to diagnose and repair equipment
- Experience with hand tools and multi-meter usage
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Ability to carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 40 pounds
- Ability to work on lifts and ladders
- Must possess hand tools
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required
- Must successfully pass a background check and drug test
- High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred
- Ability to meet the stated physical demands, including frequent lifting up to 50 lbs. and constant lifting up to 25 lbs.
- Ability to work in conditions involving weather, extreme temperatures, high noise, electrical shock, toxic or caustic chemicals, wet/humid environments, vibration, moving mechanical parts, and elevated work areas
