About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Determine project needs, constraints and responsibilities to meet customer facility requirements
  • Supervise and mentor project managers and assistant project managers
  • Review contracts and understand contractual rights, remedies and responsibilities
  • Lead project teams, resolve issues and solve problems throughout project duration
  • Oversee project safety, quality and productivity requirements
  • Provide on-site leadership and motivate team members to meet goals and milestones
  • Monitor staff performance and complete performance reviews
  • Delegate tasks to project managers, contractors and laborers
  • Track and control outcomes, issues, conflicts, dependencies and critical-path deliverables
  • Assist with interviewing and selecting project managers
  • Manage total construction efforts to meet budget
  • Apply industry best practices and align solutions with client goals
  • Develop vertical-market subject matter expertise from sales through operations
  • Assist with MEP assessments and prepare detailed engineering reports
  • Coordinate project-specific engineering
  • Develop scopes of work and project specifications
  • Coordinate schedules between property and contractors
  • Approve invoices and prepare and issue purchase orders
  • Provide closeout documentation and warranty coverage
  • Specify and price purchased equipment for accuracy of quantity, size, configuration, voltage and options
  • Maintain job files on the company network and cloud-based site
  • Perform other duties assigned by the Company

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college, military training or technical school with a minimum of 5 years’ experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience leading, motivating and managing various project and program team sizes, including internal and external resources, while holding team accountable for performance
  • Proven ability to demonstrate a drive for results and accountability of business needs
  • Regular and supervisory probation period required, if applicable
  • Pre-employment drug testing required
  • Background investigation required
  • Clean driving record required
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record required
  • Must successfully pass a background check and drug test
  • Frequent lifting up to 50 lbs. and constant lifting up to 25 lbs.
  • Ability to work in construction-site and office environments with exposure to weather, extreme temperatures, high noise, electrical shock, toxic or caustic chemicals, wet/humid conditions, vibration, moving mechanical parts and elevated work areas
  • Clear speaking, adequate hearing, sufficient vision, and repetitive computer motions
