About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Oversee and direct IN/VAS Operations
Provide input into the design, planning, and optimization of IN/VAS
Support and maintain IN and VAS networks
Develop innovative products and services
Translate MTNN’s business plan and subscriber growth assumptions into requirements for Intelligent Network, VAS network, service creation, and application development
Plan, monitor, and deliver OSS, BSS, IN/VAS systems in line with the business plan
Develop strategies for capacity planning for call attempts and signalling traffic across IN/VAS nodes
Ensure core, intelligent, and VAS network performance meets defined KPIs and KPAs
Act as subject matter expert on Intelligent and VAS network design and capacity planning
Manage trend analysis of faults on VAS and prepaid systems
Manage performance and availability of VAS and prepaid systems
Plan and control system installations and commissioning through release management
Ensure effective vendor management and service-level compliance
Monitor network-element status and performance
Monitor international technology trends and business best practices
Oversee architectural service design and integration of new products and services within MTN
Oversee development of products and services using existing service-layer features across systems such as CS 5.0, GPRS, and SMS
Align IN and VAS nodes with planning and design, and continuously analyze performance for effective capacity provisioning
Create processes and procedures to manage people, systems, and processes
Participate in technology selection and negotiate/manage supplier contracts
Monitor operational delivery against OLAs and SLAs
Develop processes and procedures to manage the environment
Ensure operational delivery of business requirements

Requirements

What you’ll need

First degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
9–17 years of experience
Manager track record of 3 years or more
At least 3 years in the relevant sector/industry
Experience in Core, IN and/or VAS planning/operations
Experience in software technology
Experience in contract negotiation
Experience in multi-vendor network operations
Experience in CAPEX and OPEX budget preparation
Experience in fixed network deployment
In-depth knowledge of forecasting long-term network growth and providing input to the company business plan
Fluent in English
Language of country preferable
Experience working across diverse cultures and geographies advantageous
Master’s degree advantageous
