About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and manage all project documentation
- Lead project hand-off meetings and gather job information before construction
- Prepare construction budgets from plans and specifications
- Obtain permits and finalize schedules of values for owner billing
- Build and manage project schedules with field supervisors
- Manage job numbers, timesheets, cost codes, budgets, and project profitability
- Develop, negotiate, and manage subcontracts and purchase orders
- Contractually manage subcontractors and vendors
- Track materials, submittals, product samples, productivity, weld reports, and inspections
- Prepare punch lists and RFIs
- Prepare project billing and invoices
- Resolve cost discrepancies and manage project scope changes
- Document schedule delays
- Collaborate with Assistant Project Managers and Superintendents
- Hire field personnel and coordinate onboarding with HR
- Ensure client satisfaction and manage scope, schedule, cost, safety, quality, and productivity
- Review timesheets, conduct employee reviews, and submit HR documentation
- Approve invoices and maintain orderly jobsites
- Update opportunity project tracking and report to the CRM Manager
Requirements
What you’ll need- Previous work experience in project management or BS/BA degree in Building Science, Engineering, Construction Management, or another related field
- OSHA 30, First Aid and CPR Training
- Extensive work experience managing budgets for construction projects
- Excellent knowledge of construction materials and equipment
- Previous experience in a leadership role with strong and proven leadership skills
- Knowledge of MS Office Suite
- Knowledge of construction safety and quality standards
- Understanding of construction management processes
- Familiarity with construction and project management software programs
- Ability to budget, schedule, negotiate, and control costs
- High degree of familiarity with contract and subcontract documents, terms, and conditions
- Conflict resolution and conflict management experience
- Excellent time management ability
- Ability to multitask with a strong understanding of core manager duties
- Excellent communication skills and interpersonal abilities
