About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Coordinate layout, physical coordination, building corners and setbacks of plumbing and HVAC points, equipment points, sleeves, inserts, and 3D scanning projects on job sites
  • Assemble and set up total station instruments, ensuring proper calibration and alignment
  • Measure distances, angles, and elevations on construction sites
  • Collect horizontal and vertical survey measurements, points, and coordinates
  • Maintain and troubleshoot total station instruments
  • Check and verify survey data for errors or inconsistencies
  • Transfer and process survey data into software applications or databases
  • Prepare measurement logs, survey notes, and equipment maintenance records
  • Collaborate with engineers and project managers to coordinate construction activities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 2 years of experience as a Trimble / Total Station Operator
  • Ability to interpret written, oral, diagram, or schedule instructions
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and other project documentation
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Strong computer literacy
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Willingness to travel to various project sites
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds
  • Plumbing and pipe experience
  • Experience operating and calibrating total station instruments
