About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, build, and operate Azure-based platform services, ensuring availability, performance, scalability, and security
- Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates
- Build and manage CI/CD pipelines for application and platform delivery
- Provide pre-production support and platform validation
- Support integrations with internal systems and third-party technology partners
- Troubleshoot systems and perform root cause analysis across platform and application layers
- Drive platform standardisation, reusable components, and engineering best practices
- Evaluate new technologies and contribute to the platform roadmap and innovation
- Implement cloud security controls, identity, and access management
- Identify and implement platform reliability, cost optimisation, and performance improvements
- Mentor and guide junior team members
- Provide expert cloud and platform guidance to development teams
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3+ years’ experience working with a broad range of Microsoft Azure services, with a focus on secure cloud architecture
- Strong experience building and operating platforms in a 24x7 environment, including automation and self-service capabilities
- Experience with Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates
- Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar CI/CD tooling
- Strong scripting and automation skills using PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar
- Windows and Linux system administration experience
- Experience with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, or other observability tools
- Ability to analyse and resolve complex infrastructure and deployment issues
- Hands-on experience with Azure technologies, operating systems, and application environments
