About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Serve as the first point of contact for patients and their families
Obtain and verify required patient and insurance information
Enter patient and insurance information accurately into the registration system
Schedule patient appointments, including return office visits, referrals, and diagnostic testing/procedures
Greet patients professionally in person and by telephone
Respond effectively to patients and their families
Set the tone for an exceptional care, wellness, and healing experience

Requirements

What you’ll need

High school graduate or GED
Associate Degree preferred
Specialist track: minimum of two (2) years’ experience as a Medical Practice Business Associate or in a similar healthcare role
Associate track: 6 months to 1 year of customer service experience required
Proficient in typing
Proficient in Windows
Experience with multiple computer systems
Must reside in the state of Michigan
Employees must be vaccinated or have lab-confirmed immunity for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, and Varicella
Employees must receive a flu vaccine during the flu season in the year hired and annually thereafter, or have an approved medical or religious exemption
