About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as the first point of contact for patients and their families
  • Obtain and verify required patient and insurance information
  • Enter patient and insurance information accurately into the registration system
  • Schedule patient appointments, including return office visits, referrals, and diagnostic testing/procedures
  • Greet patients professionally in person and over the telephone
  • Respond effectively to patients and their families
  • Set the tone for an exceptional care, wellness, and healing experience

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school graduate or GED
  • For Specialist: Associate Degree preferred
  • For Specialist: Minimum of two (2) years’ experience as a Medical Practice Business Associate or working in a similar healthcare role
  • For Associate: 6 months to 1 year Customer Service experience required
  • Proficient in typing
  • Proficient in Windows
  • Experience with multiple computer systems
  • Must reside in the state of Michigan
  • Employees must be vaccinated or have lab confirmed immunity for Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella
  • Employees must receive a flu vaccine during the flu season in the year hired and annually thereafter, or receive an approved medical or religious exemption
