About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Travel to customer sites to start up, commission, safely troubleshoot, and repair Data Center equipment
- Perform factory start-up, commissioning, warranty, and billable service on Munters Data Center equipment and systems
- Maintain and protect Munters equipment and property
- Respond promptly to customer and management service requests
- Provide customer training on Munters equipment
- Provide detailed field service reports and technical feedback on equipment
- Coordinate other trades and services while onsite for start-up commissioning
- Provide instant response to urgent and routine customer needs as part of the Field Service team
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of experience and extensive knowledge in the Mechanical field specifically the HVAC field
- Frequent travel required, up to 90%, across the USA by plane and car
- Extensive knowledge in electrical troubleshooting, able to diagnose electrical issues with proficiency and record data
- Knowledge of all safety procedures and requirements, including Arc flash, lock out tag out, and PPE associated with electrical safety
- Extensive refrigeration knowledge; ability to pressure test, evacuate, and charge systems independently
- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose refrigeration problems
- Proficiency in brazing and soldering
- Holds a universal refrigeration card
- Extensive knowledge in Controls, including troubleshooting, programming, or downloading to control systems
- Understanding of PLCs and ability to access, adjust, and communicate with PLCs using a computer
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently
- Ability to communicate well with site personnel, Sales PM, Service Manager, and Technical Support personnel
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test and background check, as applicable
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment
- Ability to travel and be away from home for several days at a time
- Willingness to take on-call duties as required
- Willingness to occasionally work weekends and/or holidays
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Willingness and ability to work 6 feet or more above ground
- Ability to perform heavy work, exerting up to 75 pounds occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently or constantly
- Ability to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, and lift
