About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Travel to customer sites to start up, commission, safely troubleshoot, and repair Data Center equipment
  • Perform factory start-up, commissioning, warranty, and billable service on Munters Data Center equipment and systems
  • Maintain and protect Munters equipment and property
  • Respond promptly to customer and management service requests
  • Provide customer training on Munters equipment
  • Provide technical feedback using detailed field service reports
  • Manage projects onsite during start-up commissioning and coordinate other trades and services
  • Provide instant response to urgent and non-urgent customer needs as part of the Field Service team

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of experience and extensive knowledge in the Mechanical field specifically the HVAC field
  • Frequent travel required, up to 90%, across the USA by plane and car
  • Extensive knowledge in electrical troubleshooting, able to diagnose electrical issues with proficiency and record data
  • Knowledge of all safety procedures and requirements and training in Arc flash, lock out tag out and other safety requirements
  • Understanding and ability to utilize all PPE associated with electrical safety
  • Extensive refrigeration knowledge, including pressure testing, evacuation, charging systems, refrigeration troubleshooting and diagnosis
  • Proficiency in brazing and soldering
  • Holds a universal refrigeration card
  • Extensive knowledge in Controls, including troubleshooting, programming, or downloading to control systems
  • Understanding of PLCs and ability to access, adjust, and communicate with PLCs using a computer
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently
  • Ability to communicate well with site personnel, Sales PM, Service Manager, and Technical Support personnel
  • High Diploma or equivalent; Trade School desired
  • Ability to travel and be away from home for several days at a time
  • Willingness to take on-call duties as required
  • Willingness to occasionally work weekends and/or holidays
  • Willingness to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions
  • Willingness and ability to work 6 feet or more above the ground as required
  • Must wear required personal protective equipment
