About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead, supervise, and deliver projects within operations, manufacturing, and production functions in cooperation with the project owner
- Serve as the primary contact during design, manufacture, and field service phases of assigned projects
- Review specifications, drawings, and customer interfaces to understand design requirements
- Create, execute, and revise project work plans
- Define project scope, cost estimates, goals, and deliverables with sales, engineering, production, quality, and service teams
- Track performance, identify issues and roadblocks, and implement corrective actions
- Manage project contracts and contractual risks
- Run project kick-off meetings and communicate milestones to internal stakeholders
- Communicate relevant project information to management
- Develop turnover documentation with technical teams for engineering, production, and service
- Manage change orders, service revenue scheduling and forecasting, project risks, mitigation plans, and contingency strategies
- Develop progress reports, proposals, and project-support documentation
- Provide guidance to PM1
- Manage day-to-day project and client interactions and respond to project support requests
- Resolve or escalate issues in a timely manner
- Follow up with clients regarding unpaid invoices when necessary
- Ensure legal documents and project records are completed, current, signed, and stored appropriately
- Track lessons learned and share them with management
- Coordinate production and shipping schedules between internal and external customers
- Travel as needed in support of projects (30%, often batched)
Requirements
