About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the first point of contact for prospects
- Work with Account Executives and solar experts to develop lead qualification skills for 100% inbound leads
- Conduct 15- to 25-minute qualification calls to understand the homeowner’s project and motivation
- Check technical eligibility, including roof type, orientation, energy consumption, occupancy status, and location
- Present Murfy’s value proposition and address initial objections
- Schedule discovery meetings for Account Executives
- Manage meeting confirmations, reminders, and follow-ups for no-shows
- Handle a high volume of calls, SMS messages, and emails
- Keep the CRM up to date by logging calls, updating opportunities, and writing actionable call notes
- Follow up with unreachable leads, postponed projects, and quotes that have not progressed
- Help process inbound requests from former customers (upselling)
- Share prospects’ feedback on pricing, competitors, and available incentives with the sales and marketing teams
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s to Master’s degree-level education
- Previous sales experience (SDR, BDR, telesales, retail, or a previous work-study program) is a strong plus
- Experience in the energy sector is not required
- Knowledge of photovoltaics or proficiency in English is not essential
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Fluency in French required
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Driven by performance and fast-paced work, with a strong customer and results orientation
- Resilient and receptive to feedback
- Comfortable with figures, particularly self-consumption, electricity bills, and return on investment (ROI)
