About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Collaborate with stakeholders and subject matter experts to assess learning needs
- Develop formal and informal learning solutions and materials for Musco team members worldwide
- Apply adult learning methodology and cognitive science best practices
- Apply training techniques and strategies to support on-the-job application and retention
- Evaluate and improve existing training materials
- Create supporting media and materials, including audio, video, simulations, job aids, role plays, and games
- Maintain and use assessment tools and metrics to measure training results
- Organize digital materials for efficient collaboration and ease of use
- Pursue continuous personal and professional development
- Conduct instructional and vendor research as needed
- May facilitate delivery of training solutions
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business, Communications, Human Resources, Adult Learning, or another related field required
- MA degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or similar preferred
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in learning and development, technical writing, and/or graphic arts, or equivalent combination of education and experience required
- Knowledge of course development software, learning management systems, and visual design a plus but not required
- APTD or CPLP certification preferred, or other relevant certifications
- Passion and ability for writing and content development excellence
- Understanding of learning theories and instructional design models
- Ability to develop quality training presentations and ideas
- Project management skills from start to finish
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to produce accurate, professional, error-free documents in a timely manner
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities
- Ability to simplify complex technical information for learners and communicate effectively at all organizational levels
- Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment
- Innovative problem-solving with a team-oriented mindset
- Familiarity with Musco solutions a plus
