About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform maintenance, repair, and inspection of equipment and Musco warranty products
  • Complete warranty repairs on lighting projects
  • Work from ladders, aerial lifts, and light poles or towers
  • Coordinate project time frames with customers, vendors, equipment, and personnel resources
  • Maintain daily communication with the Warranty Hub Manager regarding duties and schedules
  • Safely operate and inspect Musco aerial equipment daily, weekly, and monthly
  • Provide detailed written field reports and complete required paperwork within one week
  • Package and ship RMA-related Musco part returns for evaluation and testing
  • Provide leadership to crews and coordinate issues with vendors and customers on assigned projects
  • Drive and operate Musco equipment on service projects
  • Make daily expense-related financial decisions
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Post-high school education (trade school or degree) in mechanical or electrical trades or equivalent experience preferred
  • Electrical license or ability to obtain an electrical license preferred
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a driver's license required
  • Class A Commercial Driver's License preferred
  • Basic electrical and mechanical skills and experience
  • Excellent technical and problem-solving ability
  • Excellent verbal, written, and telephone communication skills
  • Strong personal initiative and ability to work with little supervision
  • Basic computer, email, and internet skills for receiving work instructions and job reporting
  • Ability to learn and adapt to changing technology
  • Compliance with Federal DOT rules and regulations, including drug and alcohol testing under Federal Railroad Administration rules
  • Pre-employment physical and background check required
  • Ability to perform extensive daily travel within the U.S. and occasionally abroad
  • Ability to work alone or as part of a team
  • Ability to work weekends, nights, long and irregular hours when required
  • Ability to work in heat, cold, rain, and other outdoor conditions
  • Ability to service structures between 40 and 120 feet using aerial lifts or approved fall protection equipment
  • Ability to travel to the regional hub to pick up equipment or parts as needed
