About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Cultivate strong relationships with key contractors, specifiers, end-users, and distribution partners in the sports lighting and electrical marketplace
  • Assess customers' lighting needs and recommend products and services accordingly
  • Present products and services through sales presentations, meetings, field visits, and trade shows
  • Prepare budget estimates and proposals using pricing tools
  • Identify and engage key decision makers to enhance Musco's position on projects
  • Conduct new business development calls with new and existing customers
  • Develop the market through proactive contact and project creation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze projects from sales, business, and engineering perspectives
  • Negotiate prices and agreements, including credit terms and collection
  • Participate in field work, including measuring and assessing fields, confirming pole locations, assisting with installations, night light level tests, troubleshooting, and warranty inspections
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project information and documentation in the sales database
  • Communicate regularly with Sales Coordinators to address territory needs and concerns and allocate resources effectively
  • Participate in corporate meetings and calls as necessary

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Chinese is mandatory, including spoken, written, and reading proficiency at a professional working level or above
  • University degree in Sports Management, Business, Sales, Entrepreneurship, or a related field preferred
  • 5-10 years of technical sales experience preferred
  • Electrical industry and contractor engagement experience strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated success in market development through contact creation, pipeline building, and project origination
  • Strong technical aptitude and willingness to learn and educate others
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with confidence to present to groups
  • Self-motivated and assertive, able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects effectively
  • Customer-first mindset, positive entrepreneurial attitude, and creative problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a broader team
  • Extensive travel throughout the Asia Pacific region, including frequent evenings, overnight stays, and work outside traditional business hours
  • Access to a personal vehicle for business travel within the China market
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Occasional international travel outside Asia Pacific, including travel to US Headquarters for training, may be required
