About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Contribute original ideas and develop visual territories from clear briefs and creative direction through final execution
  • Develop and articulate visual directions for assigned projects
  • Support or lead defined aspects of photography, film, illustration, motion and experiential execution
  • Collaborate with the Creative Director, writers, producers, marketers and designers
  • Translate campaign ideas into visual systems across advertising, social, lifecycle, digital, out-of-home, partnerships, retail and physical experiences
  • Support the evolution of MOIC’s visual system, guidelines, templates and tools
  • Design, adapt and quality-check layouts, presentations, digital assets, environmental graphics, retouching, prepress, production specifications and vendor-ready files
  • Design and iterate static and motion assets for paid media, landing pages, email and conversion-focused channels using performance insights
  • Collaborate with Growth, Lifecycle, Social, Partnerships and museum teams
  • Work with producers, photographers, directors, illustrators, printers, fabricators and other specialists
  • Manage multiple assigned projects and remain accountable for final deliverables
  • Report to the Creative Director and work with the broader Marketing team

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5-7 years of experience in brand design, campaign design or art direction, including experience within an advertising, design or creative agency and work for consumer-facing brands
  • A strong, art- and visual-first portfolio demonstrating conceptual thinking and polished hands-on execution across advertising, social, website and digital experiences, out-of-home, brand partnerships or physical experiences; portfolio must clearly show work the candidate personally designed
  • Experience contributing to visual identities, brand systems or guidelines and applying them consistently across channels and formats
  • Strong visual instincts and experience contributing to the art direction of photography, film, motion, illustration or experiential work
  • Strong typography, layout, composition and image-making judgment
  • Expertise in Adobe Creative Cloud and Figma
  • Ability to present ideas clearly, explain design decisions and use feedback to strengthen the work
  • Strong organization and follow-through, with ability to manage multiple deadlines and move between concept development, design and hands-on production
