About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Build and maintain financial models for prospective fintech clients, including deposit balances, NII, and fee revenue projections
- Conduct scenario and sensitivity analysis for client ramp, rate environment, and volume growth assumptions
- Evaluate new client onboarding economics against existing vertical benchmarks to inform deal structuring and pricing
- Analyze post-launch client profitability and identify margin compression, pricing issues, and unfavorable trends
- Recommend pricing adjustments or contract renegotiation with Account Management
- Monitor portfolio KPIs to identify outliers and emerging risks
- Support monthly fintech performance reporting, executive presentations, and board/Investment Committee materials
- Support budget tracking, variance analysis, and monthly/quarterly close activities
- Maintain rolling NII and deposit forecasts
- Prepare accurate materials for senior leadership and board-level review
- Partner with Sales, Account Management, Finance, Treasury, Data teams, and senior leadership across the client lifecycle
- Communicate financial analysis clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a related quantitative field
- 2–3 years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, banking, or a related analytical role
- Advanced Excel skills, including SUMIFS, pivot tables, financial modeling, and sensitivity/scenario analysis
- Proficiency in PowerPoint for executive- and board-facing reporting
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with comfort modeling deposit balances and interest income
- High attention to detail and accuracy in high-stakes financial reporting
- Clear written and verbal communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
- Ability to manage multiple deliverables and deadlines independently
- Familiarity with the banking, payments, or fintech industry, including deposit and interest rate dynamics
- Experience with SQL, Python, or other data analysis tools
- Prior exposure to Investment Committee or board reporting processes
- Candidates must reside in West Virginia, Virginia, Texas, Florida, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Washington D.C., New York, New Jersey, Arizona, North Carolina, Georgia, or South Dakota
