About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage and develop existing customer accounts to achieve sales and revenue targets
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key customers and decision-makers
- Understand customer requirements and provide appropriate product and ingredient solutions
- Handle customer enquiries, quotations, negotiations, orders and commercial follow-ups
- Monitor customer satisfaction and resolve issues with relevant internal teams
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within the food manufacturing industry
- Prospect and establish relationships with potential customers, including food manufacturers and food processing companies
- Conduct customer visits, product presentations and business discussions
- Follow up on leads, samples, product trials and sales opportunities through to successful conversion
- Develop and maintain a healthy sales pipeline to support business growth
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities and customer requirements
- Identify opportunities for new products, applications and market segments
- Work closely with R&D, Technical, QA and other internal teams to support customer product development and application requirements
- Provide regular sales forecasts, market feedback and account updates to management
Requirements
What you’ll need- Diploma or Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Business, Marketing, or a related discipline
- 2–5 years of experience in B2B Sales, Account Management or Business Development
- Experience in food ingredients, seasonings, flavours, food additives or specialty ingredients will be highly advantageous
- Experience dealing with food manufacturers, food processing companies or F&B businesses is preferred
- Strong understanding of the B2B sales cycle, including prospecting, customer development, negotiation and closing
- Strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills
- Customer-oriented with strong relationship-building abilities
- Self-motivated, commercially driven and able to work independently
- Willing to travel for customer meetings and business development activities when required
- Possession of a valid driving licence and own transportation is preferred
