About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage the general accounting for one of the group’s distribution entities
- Participate in monthly closings, ensuring deadlines are met
- Support the accounting team with other tasks as needed
- Ensure the accurate allocation and coding of accounting entries
- Enter customer and supplier payments, monitor accounts, and perform account reconciliations and clearing
- Enter bank transactions and perform bank reconciliations
- Perform intercompany reconciliations
- Track fixed assets and calculate depreciation
- Perform monthly and annual closings, including accrued expenses, prepaid expenses, cut-off procedures, and account reviews
- Prepare annual balance sheet items with the Administrative and Financial Manager
- Manage monthly VAT reporting and filings
- Prepare and monitor other tax filings
- Participate in the implementation of new tools with other departments
- Carry out assignments in compliance with the group’s internal procedures
Requirements
What you’ll need- Education: BTS, DCG, or equivalent qualification in Accounting or Business Administration
- At least 6 years of experience in a similar general accounting role
- Strong knowledge of monthly and annual closing procedures, including accrued expenses, prepaid expenses, cut-off procedures, and provisions
- Good knowledge of tax obligations, including VAT and other taxes
- Experience with ERP management software, such as Microsoft Dynamics NAVISION, is required
- Excellent command of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
- Previous experience in an accounting firm would be an advantage
