About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Serve as the technical lead during pre-sales engagements across data center, campus, and WAN environments
Design and present Cisco Catalyst, Nexus, ISR/ASR and Juniper MX, EX, SRX solutions
Lead whiteboarding sessions, technical workshops, and customer discovery meetings
Define use cases, success criteria, and architectural recommendations
Collaborate with account managers, delivery teams, and OEM partners
Develop comprehensive proposals, bills of materials (BOMs), and statements of work (SOWs)
Translate business needs into scalable, secure network architectures using routing, switching, VPN, and firewall technologies
Develop HLDs, solution briefs, architecture diagrams, and client-ready presentations
Stay current on SD-WAN, EVPN-VXLAN, automation, and other emerging technologies
Participate in RFP responses, competitive analyses, and technical validation
Act as a trusted technical advisor to enterprise clients and build long-term relationships
Complete security awareness training and comply with company policies
Identify and escalate security risks and contribute to remediation efforts
Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need

Must be based in the United States
7+ years of experience in enterprise networking roles, including at least 2 years in a customer-facing pre-sales or solution architect capacity
Deep technical expertise in Cisco and Juniper network infrastructure, including routing, switching, and firewalls
Strong understanding of Layer 2/3 protocols: BGP, OSPF, STP, VLANs, VRFs, QoS, NAT, and ACLs
Ability to lead technical discussions with engineers and executives
Experience designing or consulting on data center, WAN, or secure remote access solutions
Skilled at creating architecture diagrams, proposal documentation, and technical presentations
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
CCNP/CCIE (Enterprise/Data Center) or JNCIP/JNCIE certifications strongly preferred
Familiarity with SD-WAN, EVPN-VXLAN, MPLS, or cloud networking (AWS/Azure) preferred
Experience with network automation, such as Ansible or Python, is a plus
Exposure to NAC, 802.1X, RADIUS, and hybrid networking environments
Complete ongoing security awareness training and comply with company policies
Identify and escalate security risks and contribute to remediation efforts
