About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Build and lead a high-performing West Coast Customer Success function
- Help strategic enterprise customers drive adoption, retention, and expansion
- Partner with CSMs on complex challenges and strategies for large, high-risk enterprise accounts
- Build trusted executive relationships and join customer conversations when leadership is needed
- Personally own strategic customer relationships where needed
- Hire and onboard remaining Customer Success Managers for the West Coast team
- Coach and develop team members through 1:1s, development plans, and skill-building
- Establish a high-accountability, supportive team environment
- Run forecasting, account-health cadences, and structured risk reviews
- Build repeatable Customer Success motions across onboarding, QBRs, adoption, retention, and expansion
- Identify risks early, raise issues proactively, and improve team operations
- Partner with Sales, Product, Support, TAMs, Renewals, and GTM leaders
- Collaborate with Customer Success leaders across US East, EMEA, and Scaled CS
- Contribute to global Customer Success initiatives and scalable methodologies
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2–3+ years of people management experience
- Strong track record of hiring, developing, and retaining Customer Success talent
- 7–10 years of experience in Customer Success, Professional Services, Account Management, or other customer-facing roles
- Experience supporting large, complex, high-risk enterprise customers
- Tech industry experience and relevant enterprise subject-matter expertise
- Understanding of technical buyers’ and customers’ needs and expectations
- Experience running forecasts, account-health cadences, and structured risk reviews
- Builder mindset and willingness to solve problems directly
- Low-ego collaboration and process-improvement orientation
- Automation and AI familiarity is nice-to-have
- Experience holding Customer Success leadership responsibilities across more than one company is nice-to-have
- Must be based in Washington, California, Colorado, or Texas
- Existing right to work in the US; the posting states visa support is not available for countries other than Germany
- English is the company language
