About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Create automation test frameworks, prepare automation test scripts, execute and maintain them
- Report and track defects through to closure
- Design scalable automation frameworks and implement shift-left testing
- Handle flaky tests, debug efficiently, and optimise test execution
- Mentor junior team members and collaborate with engineers
- Improve automation strategies to align with business goals
- Reduce manual effort and improve release cycle quality
- Track defect leakage and automation ROI

Requirements
What you’ll need- Ideally 6–8+ years’ experience in complex environments
- Hands-on experience designing and building test automation frameworks for UI and API testing
- Experience with UI automation tools such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or WebdriverIO
- Experience with API automation tools such as Rest-Assured, Karate, Postman/Newman, or similar frameworks
- Strong experience in test automation frameworks for APIs
- Experience with integration automation test frameworks in CI/CD pipelines
- Experience in banking or financial services
- Strong analysis and problem-solving skills
- Experience applying risk-based testing practices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong Java coding skills in automation testing
- Experience with AI-assisted development workflows and agentic tooling
- Ability to mentor junior team members and collaborate with engineers and stakeholders
- Proactive, dependable, and comfortable taking ownership of critical systems and outcomes
