About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage internal communications, distribution lists, and internal messaging initiatives across multiple brands
  • Prepare strategic email communications campaigns for internal initiatives
  • Execute external email marketing campaigns for brands, clients, and promotional activities
  • Proofread communications and follow AP Style
  • Develop and edit newsletters, press releases, and promotional content
  • Update intranet messaging and content
  • Process marketing material requests through design, production, and delivery
  • Assist in planning and executing marketing campaigns
  • Coordinate event sponsorship logistics, invitations, RSVPs, and sponsorship benefits
  • Support internal and external events with communication and training kits
  • Support the sales team through industry events, collateral, and educational tool preparation
  • Monitor and manage social media content and presence
  • Manage monthly social media calendars and paid social media campaigns with oversight
  • Report monthly social media metrics
  • Upload, organize, and tag photos in the digital asset library
  • Manage photo release documentation and digital asset accessibility
  • Provide administrative and project-based support, including vendor coordination, supplier registrations, and compliance updates
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align marketing and communications strategies with organizational goals
  • Improve communication workflows and processes
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 4-6 years of experience in marketing and strategic communications roles
  • Previous experience managing multiple social media accounts for one or more brands
  • Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record for the past 3 years
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Comfortable using LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
  • Experience with content management systems such as SharePoint or WordPress preferred
  • Experience with email management platforms such as Mailchimp or EmailOpen preferred
  • Familiarity with digital asset management tools preferred
  • Basic knowledge of Canva or Adobe Acrobat preferred
  • Experience in photo, video, or design content production preferred
  • Interest in AI and other efficiency technologies preferred
  • Ability to travel up to 10% throughout Alaska and/or to remote locations
  • Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 25 lbs.
