About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Maintain internal email accounts for multiple brands and manage distribution lists
  • Support internal messaging initiatives across the organization
  • Develop and edit newsletters, press releases, promotional content, and other marketing materials
  • Update intranet messaging and content
  • Process marketing material requests and oversee Spot Awards and Service Awards fulfillment
  • Coordinate distribution of marketing materials
  • Maintain, order, and track promotional materials, branded merchandise, and swag inventory
  • Assist in planning and executing marketing campaigns
  • Coordinate event sponsorship logistics, invitations, RSVPs, and sponsorship benefits
  • Support internal and external events by assembling communication and training kits
  • Monitor and manage social media content and presence
  • Manage monthly social media calendars and paid social media campaigns with oversight
  • Prepare monthly social media metrics reports
  • Upload, organize, and tag photos in the digital asset library
  • Manage photo release documentation and digital asset accessibility
  • Provide administrative and project-based support, including vendor coordination, supplier registrations, and compliance updates
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align marketing and communications strategies with organizational goals
  • Identify and implement improvements to communication workflows and processes
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 2–4 years of experience in marketing, communications, or administrative support, including internships
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record for the past 3 years
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Proficiency in AP Style
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Comfortable using LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
  • Preferred: experience with SharePoint, WordPress, or similar content management systems
  • Preferred: experience with email management platforms
  • Preferred: familiarity with digital asset management tools
  • Preferred: basic knowledge of Canva or Adobe Acrobat
  • Preferred: experience in photo, video, design, or other content production
  • Preferred: associate or bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or communications
  • Preferred: interest in AI and other efficiency technologies
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time throughout Alaska and/or to remote locations
  • Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 25 lbs
