About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Deliver timely data support to Lab Operations teams and unblock production issues
Improve patient results turnaround times
Apply statistical techniques to analyze complex datasets and diagnose operational issues
Perform exploratory data analysis, identify trends, and drive continuous improvement
Design and implement automated solutions for recurring data analysis and production support workflows
Extract, transform, and analyze data to generate actionable insights
Document analytical processes, best practices, and insights
Develop and optimize scalable data retrieval solutions for large and complex datasets
Learn operational efficiencies from technologies and solutions developed by other DSPE teams
Train and coach junior team members
Collaborate with Lab Operations and Product teams on process issues, root cause analysis, and product support
Represent the DSPE team in stakeholder meetings
Escalate encountered issues to other DSPE teams

Requirements

What you’ll need

Master’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Operational Research, or related fields
Minimum 3 years of relevant industry experience
Minimum 3 years of experience working in a highly regulated environment, such as CLIA and/or FDA compliant settings
Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in data analysis, extraction, and querying in production support roles
Working knowledge of diagnostic laboratory business processes and requirements
Proficiency in data analysis and statistical techniques
Proficiency in Python and SQL development
Working knowledge of Snowflake and cloud technologies
Understanding of hypothesis testing, central limit theorem, time series analysis, anomaly detection, and regression modeling
Good documentation practices and coding style
Experience with GitHub or GitLab
Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills and integrity
