About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Work game nights in-arena at the scorer's table
  • Watch live action and communicate replay reviews and results between the NBA Replay Center and in-arena parties
  • Communicate scoring changes and replay review explanations to on-court referees, PA announcer, broadcasters, and statisticians
  • Inform referees of free throws to be assessed near the three-point line as instructed by the Replay Center
  • Identify and communicate actual or potential replay situations or triggers to the Replay Center
  • Manage the replay monitor pregame and during reviews
  • Assist and communicate with referees during courtside replay reviews
  • Activate the coaches challenge light
  • Handle miscellaneous pregame requests

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Superior level of basketball knowledge and clear understanding of NBA game rules, including replay triggers
  • Good communication skills, including listening, understanding instructions, and clearly articulating information between multiple parties
  • Ability to maintain composure and work quickly and thoughtfully in high-stress situations
  • Basic knowledge of NBA officiating terminology
  • Precise and detail oriented approach to all tasks
  • Passion for the game of basketball
  • College degree preferred, but not required
