About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Evaluate and continually improve the membership model to drive growth in membership numbers, diversity, and revenue
  • Develop membership recruitment and acquisition processes, including lead generation, lead conversion, and customer relationship management
  • Lead and manage membership resources and processes, including the Senior Membership Coordinator, membership tools, and content
  • Identify industry-centric gaps in stakeholder composition and develop proactive member recruitment plans
  • Seek and leverage data sources to inform decision-making for America Makes and the additive manufacturing ecosystem
  • Grow and maintain an inclusive, diverse, and engaged team culture aligned around membership value generation and performance
  • Curate and expand the NCDMM Alliance Partner network
  • Identify and nurture relationships with complementary organizations to drive collaborative ecosystem impact
  • Collaborate with the Communications and Event team on the America Makes convening strategy and plan
  • Support membership retention and renewals through improved value proposition documentation
  • Identify regional economic growth data sources to inform ecosystem expansion
  • Advance memoranda of understanding with nonprofit organizations
  • Develop awareness campaigns targeting new industry sectors
  • Engage with local economic development organizations in Northeast Ohio
  • Report membership acquisition program status and next steps to America Makes Leadership
  • Facilitate introductions and collaborations between America Makes members and Alliance Partners
  • Speak at regional events about public-private collaborative research and training

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Five to seven (5-7) years of experience in a membership / customer-service centric position
  • Experience identifying and converting customer acquisition leads by understanding and addressing stakeholder needs
  • Networking acumen and significant engagement with members, stakeholders, and government partners
  • Demonstrated ability to lead stakeholder and partnership development programs
  • Experience increasing engagement, driving mission impact, and growing ecosystem value generation
  • Willingness to travel to trade shows, conferences, and industry gatherings
  • Relevant experience in a technology maturation and advanced manufacturing space
  • Ability to prioritize independently, meet deadlines, and drive mission impact
  • Collaborative approach to bringing ideas to life
  • Passion for serving the nation and improving U.S. global manufacturing competitiveness
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to support stakeholder needs
  • Strategic and creative thinking
  • Eligibility to work in the United States, verified through E-Verify
