About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the design, implementation, and operation of standardised data sharing processes
  • Support the wider data governance framework, including governance artefacts, standards, and guidance
  • Act as a process expert for data sharing and main point of contact for stakeholders
  • Provide assurance evidence, reporting, and insights to governance forums, assurance reviews, and audits
  • Highlight risks, trends, and control gaps
  • Maintain and assure a centralised data sharing and data request register
  • Coordinate and support the review, approval, and lifecycle management of Data Sharing Agreements
  • Work with Legal, Information Security, and Data Governance teams
  • Assess data sharing requests for privacy, security, legal, and governance risks
  • Escalate exceptions and support mitigation actions
  • Ensure data sharing aligns with data classification, purpose limitation, access control, retention, and onward-sharing principles

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Right to work in the UK by the start of employment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Stakeholder management and collaboration skills
  • Attention to detail and proactive approach to issue identification and resolution
  • Understanding of data governance frameworks
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable with change and evolving governance frameworks and data tools
  • Experience in data governance or data management roles
  • Hands-on experience in data governance, data quality, or data management roles
  • Experience contributing to process improvement
  • Exposure to data governance frameworks and practical application in an enterprise environment
  • Experience in data issue remediation or control testing and monitoring
  • Familiarity with Power BI and SQL
  • Understanding of data privacy, data security, and compliance requirements
