About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead a team of project managers and collaborate with CSNP delivery leads
- Oversee and manage all phases of the Centralised Strategic Network Plan delivery process
- Challenge plans and progress delivery; identify constraints, risks, and issues and progress mitigations
- Manage scope, resource, cost, schedule, and deliverable changes through the SEP Change Management process
- Ensure effective CSNP governance and assurance frameworks and lead audit and assurance review responses
- Provide programme status reports and verbal updates to stakeholders and governance groups
- Oversee risks, issues, and dependencies and maintain the RAID management approach
- Manage the CSNP Programme and Electricity Network Strategy Team budgets
- Coordinate procurement and management of external vendors
- Assist the EN PMO Manager with PMO ways of working, standards, tools, and processes
- Lead Data Management across the EN Team and maintain data security standards
- Support SEP Portfolio Management tools and processes and contribute to SEP Cross Cutting Topic Groups
- Support, guide, and challenge the EN Admin support team
Requirements
What you’ll need- Right to work in the UK by the start of employment
- Considerable experience delivering externally facing, high-profile and fast-paced programmes and projects, ideally engineering, energy sector or regulatory focused
- Substantial experience leading Programme and PMO teams
- Experience developing and refining project management approaches, tools, and processes
- Proven capability developing and implementing project assurance and governance frameworks and processes
- Proficiency in project planning and reporting tools
- Experience developing and delivering high standards of programme and project management and ensuring adherence to defined standards
- Strong communication and excellent writing skills
