About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Drive curriculum development strategy in the School of Health Professions
- Plan and manage curriculum development, course catalog submissions, changes, and additions
- Propose new programs of study, micro-credentials, specializations, and certificates
- Work with the Director of Assessment and Accreditation to ensure course-level outcomes and accreditation standards are met
- Collaborate with faculty, staff, administration, Learning Experience, and school/university committees
- Mentor and guide faculty on course, module, and student learning outcomes, content management, and curriculum development
- Create curriculum continuity across programs, including scaffolding and consistency between courses
- Manage course catalog submissions and course maintenance
- Track course feedback and coordinate curriculum revisions
- Coordinate faculty subject matter experts for curriculum development and revisions
- Manage SME contracts and approvals
- Review final course versions and ensure quality as proxy for the Associate Dean of Academic Affairs
- Notify staff and faculty of course version and assignment changes
- Address minor revisions to live courses or hotfixes
- Ensure curriculum changes follow school-level governance processes
- Manage curriculum changes through university governance and WSCUC review processes
Requirements
What you’ll need- A doctoral/terminal degree from a regionally accredited university
- 12+ years of experience in higher education, including curriculum development
- Strong demonstrated experience with curriculum design
- Demonstrated experience leading strategy for curriculum development and planning
- Experience with CurrICuNET (CNET) preferred
- Expert-level knowledge of curriculum design, management, and implementation
- Advanced knowledge of school, university-level, and regional accreditation governance processes
- Working knowledge of office management/systems within a higher education environment preferred
- Intermediate proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office Suite applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in diverse teams and fast-paced environments with multiple deadlines and changing priorities
