About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide strategic leadership and direction for local and regional sales efforts within an assigned territory
- Align national sales initiatives with local market strategies
- Lead regional and remote sales professionals
- Recruit, hire, onboard, train, develop, mentor, and manage sales talent
- Develop and implement regional sales strategies to drive sustainable growth
- Ensure consistent messaging, structure, and go-to-market execution across markets
- Identify new vertical markets, underutilized customer segments, and regional opportunities
- Partner with Finance, Operations, Marketing, National Sales, and Business Unit Presidents
- Monitor sales performance, forecasts, KPIs, trends, challenges, and opportunities
- Drive gross profit enhancement through strategic sales execution and value-driven engagement
- Provide regular reporting and insights to the President of Sales and executive leadership
- Build and maintain relationships with commercial clients, building owners, property managers, facility executives, and general contractors
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking forums
- Stay informed about market conditions, competitive activity, and industry trends
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, Construction Management, or a related field preferred
- Five (5) or more years of progressive sales leadership experience in commercial construction services
- Proven success managing multi-location or distributed sales teams in a performance-based environment
- Experience recruiting, hiring, training, and developing sales professionals
- Strong record of driving revenue growth, expanding market share, and improving gross profit performance
- Experience partnering with operations, finance, and estimating teams
- Ability to develop and execute regional sales strategies aligned with national goals
- Experience using CRM systems; Salesforce preferred
- Background in commercial construction or related construction service industries
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional sales leadership and interpersonal abilities
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Expertise in value-based selling, solution selling, and long-term customer relationship development
- Financial and business acumen, including revenue forecasting, sales metrics, and profitability analysis
- Ability to analyze market data, trends, and performance metrics
- Familiarity with commercial construction processes, project lifecycles, scopes of work, and contract structures
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- CRM expertise is required
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and operate in a fast-paced, results-driven environment
