About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage the operational integrity of NatureBridge environmental science programs in Yosemite National Park
- Manage complex logistics for all groups attending programs
- Ensure a welcoming and supportive atmosphere for guests on site
- Coordinate with campus departments to provide a seamless customer experience
- Create and update weekly Environmental Science staffing schedules through Salesforce CRM
- Ensure logistical details are accurate and communicated promptly to staff
- Manage Educator scheduling requests with supervisor approval
- Partner with Sales and Education Teams to meet program scheduling goals
- Train Educators on program logistics and schedule management
- Route paperwork to designated locations in a timely manner
- Hire, supervise and train Administrative Educator positions
- Prepare weekly reports for participant lodging, meals, transportation and recreation
- Coordinate with clients, NatureBridge staff and the Yosemite concessionaire
- Refine, develop, communicate and support logistics systems
- Update and steward the Yosemite Operations and Program Logistics Manual and Administrative Educator Manuals
- Address risk management concerns with clients and vendors
- Coordinate necessary modifications with associated staff
- Work with Campus and National Director of Risk Management and promote implementation of risk management policies
- Perform Administrative Educator duties when needed, including overnight and weekend coverage
- Participate in monthly cross-departmental meetings, including the Yosemite Management Team
- Participate in monthly meetings with National and other campus Operations teams
- Collaborate annually to revise paperwork and operational systems
- Maintain CRM systems and monitor program portals
- Act as Rotating Manager On Call
- Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2-4 years of relevant experience or a Bachelor’s Degree
- Wilderness First Responder Certification
- Robust risk management experience and expertise
- Extremely detail-oriented, with excellent organizational, task, and time management skills
- Excellent communicator with a strong customer service orientation
- Strong problem-solving skills; able to make decisions independently while meeting the needs of multiple stakeholders
- Demonstrated office experience, managing and communicating information quickly and accurately
- Proficiency with CRM systems and Google online tools
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility and enthusiastic attitude
- Background check required for employment eligibility
- Ability to work in person on campus at least twice per week
- Availability for occasional weekend and night work
- Ability to perform overnight and weekend coverage when needed
