About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Act as a market expert across apparel categories, understanding customers, competition, and market trends
  • Create seasonal SKU plans for owned categories aligned with channel financial goals
  • Analyze buy history, product performance, consumer trends, and the competitive landscape to influence category assortments
  • Partner with cross-functional teams on day-to-day deliverables
  • Participate in milestone meetings, recap and prioritize action items, and follow up as needed
  • Anticipate department needs and maintain calendar deadlines
  • Deliver strategic seasonal assortment presentations to the Sales team
  • Manage post-market milestones to ensure orders are captured and processed on time
  • Manage the sample process and ensure samples are organized and categorized appropriately
  • Use day-to-day learnings to create solutions and adjust strategies as business needs change
  • Foster cross-functional relationships to drive collaboration
  • Seek opportunities to grow the business and support personal and professional development

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Merchandising, Design, Product Development or related field
  • 4–6 years of related experience
  • Highly skilled in Excel
  • Highly skilled in PowerPoint
  • Proficient learner of PLM systems
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and time management skills
  • Strong business acumen, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Highly detail oriented and organized
  • Ability to multitask and adjust to shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated with a strong ability to self-manage and define priorities of the department/business
  • Must be able to develop relationships at all levels and work in a collaborative environment
