About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Contribute to platform, engineering, and operations within the AI Center for Enablement
Drive adoption and utilization of AI capabilities to foster innovation and improve member experience
Implement AI engineering solutions under governance, validation, safety, and transparency guidelines
Develop LLM-based AI capabilities and evaluate outcomes for accuracy, hallucination reduction, and compliance
Build and manage structured and unstructured data ingestion pipelines
Implement RAG and other techniques to improve model accuracy
Ensure compliance with AI governance, security, and ethical standards
Optimize application performance and scalability using cloud-native solutions
Participate in Agile development cycles and CI/CD processes
Support model documentation and registration in the Model Catalog
Contribute to approved AI/ML roadmaps and technical plans
Leverage AI-assisted coding tools to support developer productivity
Collaborate with senior team members on AI Center for Enablement initiatives

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in AI Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, Data Engineering, or related technical field, or equivalent combination of education, training and experience
2-5 years of hands-on experience building AI solutions, including AI agents and chatbots
Experience with Azure AI Foundry, Langchain, or similar platforms
Experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
Experience developing and integrating RESTful APIs
Experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, and fine-tuning
Experience with NLP, tokenization, embeddings, and conversational AI
Front-end and back-end development experience with React, Angular, Node.js, Django, or Flask
Experience building data pipelines and preprocessing structured and unstructured datasets using Databricks or similar
Experience with vector databases and graph databases
Experience implementing model governance, transparency, bias detection, and compliance measures
Experience implementing security controls for AI models and sensitive data
Strong understanding of CI/CD, Git, and Agile methodologies
Experience using AI-assisted coding tools such as GitHub Copilot
Strong documentation, communication, and presentation skills
Understanding of software engineering fundamentals, including data structures, debugging, unit testing, and maintainable code
Familiarity with dependency management, logging, error handling, and development/test/production environments
Experience evaluating AI and GenAI outputs and applying secure data-handling practices
Experience delivering solutions using Python, SQL, and NoSQL
Ability to work from technical requirements and implementation plans, incorporate code review feedback, and communicate progress and tradeoffs
Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship
