Design, develop, and optimize high-quality software applications using programming languages and frameworks
Collaborate with stakeholders and technical team members to gather and analyze requirements and propose solutions
Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code following industry best practices and organizational standards
Implement efficient data structures and algorithms to optimize performance, scalability, and user experience
Conduct and participate in code reviews
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve application functionality, performance, and bug issues; escalate as required
Participate in team projects and continuous improvement initiatives
Generate and adhere to application and software development engineering policies, standards, and procedures
Continuously learn from individual and team experiences through collaboration and feedback

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, a related field or the equivalent combination of education, training or experience
5+ years of hands-on experience in web application development and Internet of Things using Java-based frameworks
Basic understanding of business and operating environment
Knowledge of software development principles, methodologies (including Agile), and version control systems
3+ years of experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), containerization (Docker) and orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes, SpringBoot)
3+ years of production support experience
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
Experience with SQL, Python, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, modern frameworks and libraries
Knowledge of database structures, web technologies, and technical applications
Problem-solving and analytical skills for software functionality and performance issues
Ability to write clean and maintainable code
Exposure to software testing concepts and methods
Written and verbal communication skills for explaining technical concepts and collaborating with team members and stakeholders
Experience with customer support tools, ticketing systems, and knowledge base platforms
Working knowledge of data structures and algorithms
Participation in team projects, code reviews, and learning from feedback
Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship
Monday–Friday availability, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, with flexibility for deployments and production support
Desired: experience with event-driven architecture and messaging systems; distributed databases and storage systems; observability tools
