About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Conduct analyses and reporting supporting general business operations and planning, including budget development and equipment availability
  • Assess internal business-process requirements, ensuring integration across teams and business units and alignment with organizational strategic goals
  • Document business processes and workflows and identify inefficiencies or improvement areas
  • Analyze business data to identify solutions to basic business problems
  • Perform quantitative analysis of data, costs and benefits, and process measurements
  • Analyze processes and workflows to improve or automate business performance
  • Create KPI reports, identify operational improvement areas, and display root-cause and value-chain analysis
  • Analyze vendor invoices for accuracy, resolve discrepancies, and submit invoices to Accounts Payable
  • Calculate annual vendor invoice funding based on volume projections, contractual pricing and other factors
  • Prepare requisitions to fund new and existing contracts in alignment with the department budget

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 2-5 years of experience in business and operational strategy, planning and analysis
  • Basic understanding of business and operating environment
  • Working knowledge of data querying, reporting, forecasting, analysis and operations research
  • Research, analytical, and problem solving skills
  • Effective problem resolution skills, including determining root cause, scope and scale of issues
  • Effective word processing and spreadsheet software skills
  • Effective project management skills to lead small- to medium-scope projects or initiatives
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse internal and external contacts
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance or related field
  • Monday-Friday availability, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM
  • Adherence to Navy Federal policies, procedures and regulations pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act
