About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Set and lead enterprise product strategy for a large product portfolio or product function
- Provide strategic direction, governance, and prioritization across multiple product teams, initiatives, and roadmaps
- Partner with senior leadership to shape product priorities, influence strategic direction, and align execution across teams and functions
- Build partnerships across business units, technology, operations, risk, compliance, and other stakeholders
- Direct development, implementation, and support of self-directed and managed investment and financial advisor-integrated digital experiences
- Apply business objectives, member needs, and risk tolerance to guide portfolio decisions and investment tradeoffs
- Leverage research, data, and insights to inform product strategy, roadmap direction, and business outcomes
- Anticipate, manage, and mitigate complex risks across product initiatives, dependencies, and implementation plans
- Establish consistent product delivery practices, governance, and decision-making across teams
- Represent product portfolio needs, risks, and outcomes in senior leadership discussions
- Communicate strategic direction, business impacts, risks, and progress to senior leaders and executive stakeholders
- Lead change management efforts tied to product transformation or portfolio priorities
- Manage resources, develop leadership capability, and build a talent pipeline through coaching, mentoring, and stretch assignments
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Technology, Information Systems, Product Management, or a related field, or the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- 12+ years of progressively responsible experience in product management, product strategy, business management, financial services, or related field
- 8+ years of people leadership experience, or equivalent experience as a recognized subject matter expert leading large-scale product portfolios or enterprise product initiatives
- Proven leadership experience managing teams and/or leaders with responsibility for performance, delivery, and outcomes across a product function or portfolio
- Extensive experience in structured product, project, or portfolio delivery environments across multiple initiatives
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and guide strategic product decisions in complex, cross-functional environments
- Expert ability to leverage data, research, and insights to inform strategy, priorities, investment decisions, and outcomes
- Deep understanding of processes, systems, risk, compliance, and organizational dynamics
- Ability to resolve highly complex or ambiguous problems at a functional or portfolio level
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presenting complex information clearly to senior leadership and stakeholders
- Exceptional collaboration and teamwork across teams, functions, and senior stakeholders
- Expert strategic thinking, product judgment, and enterprise prioritization
- Advanced analytical thinking and ability to translate data, research, and insights into strategic direction
