About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Answer inbound calls for the Collections Division and transfer them to the correct department while providing a first-class member experience
  • Monitor, sort, and distribute incoming correspondence received through various channels
  • Create, review, and approve outgoing letter correspondence using established templates and guidelines
  • Oversee third-party batch letter releases
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve debit payment exceptions
  • Research and correct payments rejected by the Remittance Department
  • Prepare general ledger entries
  • Monitor, review, and complete system access requests for employee role changes
  • Ensure personnel position moves are processed and documented through monthly systems audits
  • Complete consumer loan extension requests in compliance with internal and external policies and regulations
  • Monitor and resolve member assistance exceptions
  • Monitor and update reports
  • Review and update procedures
  • Participate in process improvement and systems update or implementation projects
  • Perform research, data gathering, and basic analysis
  • Mentor and train team members
  • Act as a liaison between Collections divisions
  • Ensure compliance when handling confidential financial and member information and documents
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements
