About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Research department data assets, including data sources, database content, lineage, and transformation logic
Create and enhance documentation for data sources, data content, lineage, record retention plans, base measures, KPIs, and departmental Key Results metrics
Process and update data in automated systems
Generate and analyze reports
Investigate root causes of database update and accuracy problems
Support periodic audits of data table accuracy and access permission lists
Support updates to authorized user lists
Monitor intakes and stakeholder requests for the Data Strategy & Solutions unit
Support the department’s data roadmap and strategic planning
Collaborate with Data Stewards, Analysts, and staff
Provide support to assigned departments and business initiatives
Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need

Must be currently enrolled in college or graduate-level courses or a degree-seeking program throughout the duration of the internship
Must be pursuing a degree from an accredited college/university
Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Effective research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines
Initiative and good judgment
Ability to adapt to new technologies
Ability to provide exceptional customer service
Word processing and spreadsheet software skills
Organizational, planning, and time management skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Experience with data warehouses, SQL Server, cloud data architecture, platform management, and quality testing (desired)
Experience with data dictionary and standard operating procedure documentation, SQL, Python, and/or R (desired)
Experience with GitHub management for code management and stored actions (desired)
