About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead or co-lead quality engineering and software testing teams
  • Plan and execute systems integration, regression, functional, API, AI, and end-to-end testing
  • Test complex and moderately integrated systems for compliance with business requirements and Navy Federal standards
  • Create complex test plans and analyze functional and technical requirements
  • Create, execute, update, and automate manual and automated test cases
  • Collect and archive auditable test evidence and documentation
  • Manage defects, perform root-cause analysis, and prioritize solutions with business stakeholders
  • Develop test automation with DevSecOps using the NFCU Test Automation Low Code Framework
  • Integrate test artifacts into Azure DevOps and comply with CI/CD standards
  • Analyze test results and present recommendations, risks, alternatives, conclusions, and downstream impacts
  • Coordinate System Integration and End-to-End testing
  • Participate in Scrum and SAFe SDLC activities, project sizing, estimation, and team meetings
  • Serve as a subject matter expert, coach, and mentor to peers and team members
  • Identify process and technology improvement opportunities and recommend testing practice optimizations
  • Collaborate with developers, business partners, peers, and stakeholders to satisfy business needs

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Expert technical skills working with various software programs
  • Expert knowledge of project-dependent testing tools
  • Working knowledge of databases and SQL
  • Advanced knowledge of Azure Boards, Azure Test Plans, and Micro Focus ALM
  • Working knowledge of Gherkin, Cucumber, XPath, HTML, CSS, Git, Selenium, and Azure Pipelines
  • Working knowledge of API testing using Postman Pro
  • Advanced knowledge of mainframe, on-premise, and cloud-hosted applications
  • Expert research, analytical, problem-solving, communication, testing, SDLC, organizational, planning, time-management, presentation, and decision-making skills
  • Extensive experience with cross-functional teams and IT environments
  • Expert knowledge of Navy Federal services, products, business processes, and applications
  • 7–10 years of experience in technology testing
  • Subject matter expertise in the relevant business area or specialization
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, a related field, or equivalent combination of education, training, or experience
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship
  • Desired: ISTQB Foundation, ISTQB Advanced, ISTQB AI testing, ISTQB Test Automation Engineer, or DevOps Institute DevOps Foundation certifications
