About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support maintenance of IT and enterprise-class security applications and systems
  • Troubleshoot Linux and/or Windows server operating systems and enterprise applications
  • Deploy, optimize, and maintain enterprise security applications across on-premises, SaaS, and IaaS environments
  • Remediate vulnerabilities and maintain platform stability through monitoring, patching, and administration
  • Deploy and configure SaaS enterprise applications
  • Deploy AI, Agentic, and ML/LLM solutions to address modern security threats
  • Create and maintain internal engineering documentation
  • Renew and update TLS certificates on appliances and enterprise applications
  • Respond to audit and enterprise hardening requests
  • Update stories and subtasks for work in flight
  • Participate in daily operations briefings
  • Monitor daily ticket queues and assign incidents/work as required
  • Perform quarterly access reviews
  • Participate in on-call and after-hours rotation
  • Collaborate with the Platform Engineering manager and Information Security teams

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Extensive hands-on experience automating/scripting server configurations and deployments
  • Extensive hands-on experience patching and upgrading Linux and Windows operating systems, packages, and applications
  • Extensive hands-on experience in enterprise high-security systems engineering or a similar role
  • Understanding of enterprise security and hardening best practices, with a focus on PCI-DSS/NCUA ideal
  • Experience with AI, Agentic solutions, and ML/LLMs in practice and/or technology deployment
  • Experience scripting with Ansible, Python, Bash, PowerShell, Ruby, or similar
  • Thorough understanding of SSO/SAML/OAuth integration of enterprise applications
  • Ability to troubleshoot common Linux operating systems or Windows server operating systems
  • Experience with change, problem, configuration, and project management processes
  • Hands-on experience with Agile, specifically Kanban workflow
  • Experience using/integrating tools with SIEMs
  • Experience with large enterprise processes, ticketing, coordination, detailed change management, and control processes
  • Knowledge of networking, firewalls, routing, switching, load balancing, and proxy principles
  • Desired: experience with cybersecurity applications; Java/Tomcat or .NET/IIS COTS applications in clustered environments; physical or virtual appliances; packet capture analysis; Jira/Confluence
