About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Report to the Executive Manager IT, BPO and Corporate Procurement
- Help nbn secure goods and services needed to design, maintain, support, and operate its business and networks
- Lead development and execution of category strategies
- Own sourcing initiatives from strategy development through market engagement, evaluation, negotiation, contract execution, and supplier transition
- Contribute to contract and supplier relationship management
- Partner with business stakeholders, Procurement colleagues, and suppliers to deliver commercially sound and sustainable outcomes
- Work with General Managers, senior business leaders, and subject matter experts to shape commercial strategies
- Manage competing priorities and support informed decision-making
- Bring together commercial insights, data, and diverse perspectives to simplify complexity
- Build trusted relationships and deliver outcomes focused on value, sustainability, customer needs, and operational effectiveness
Requirements
What you’ll need- Significant experience across procurement, strategic sourcing, category management, commercial negotiations, and contract or supplier relationship management
- Experience ideally within telecommunications, infrastructure, or another complex environment
- Strong commercial acumen and analytical capability
- Ability to interpret market and business insights and translate them into clear, practical recommendations
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and balance multiple sourcing initiatives and stakeholder priorities
- Ability to build trusted relationships with business stakeholders, Procurement colleagues, suppliers, General Managers, senior business leaders, and subject matter experts
- Ability to communicate complex information clearly
