About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide quality consultative customer service and ensure customer needs are met
  • Open and process new deposit accounts and consumer and business banking transactions accurately and efficiently
  • Educate, refer, and cross-sell appropriate products and services
  • Identify and refer sales opportunities to appropriate business partners or lines of business
  • Deliver solutions through interactive customer conversations and assess customer needs
  • Engage customers to identify referral and sales opportunities across business lines
  • Conduct relationship management activities aligned with corporate objectives and goals
  • Discuss consumer and small business lending, credit reports, and credit scores
  • Accept and process consumer and business loan applications and close loans within established guidelines and compliance regulations
  • Conduct sales and service calls to existing and potential customers
  • Resolve customer issues and complaints
  • Ensure branch coverage, deadline adherence, and efficient service
  • Process routine and non-routine teller transactions and account servicing duties
  • Maintain records and prepare forms and reports
  • Perform daily vault balancing and complete branch audits
  • Follow bank policies, procedures, code of conduct, security controls, and regulatory guidelines
  • Provide system overrides and branch oversight as required
  • Participate in community events supporting the Community Reinvestment Act
  • Provide guidance and training for other employees
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Minimum two years' experience in related banking positions preferred
  • Previous customer service, sales, consumer, and business lending experience preferred
  • Experience demonstrating leadership skills
  • Proficient reading, writing, communication and mathematical skills
  • Knowledge of Decision Pro, Loan-to-Value and Debt-to-Income calculations, and reading credit reports
  • Ability to identify and analyze situations and/or information using certain criteria and resolve issues and problems
  • Ability to approach, identify, and have in-depth conversations with customers to identify needs and opportunities
  • Organizational, interpersonal, customer relations, problem solving, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
  • Ability to work well with people as a team
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Requires the ability to obtain or have NMLS Certification under the terms of the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers
  • Ability to remain stationary 75% of the time or greater
  • Ability to move objects up to 10 lbs
  • Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.; employment visa sponsorship is unavailable
