About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Analyze system issues to determine business impact, corrective actions, contingency actions, and process improvements
  • Identify and define business requirements by consulting with users
  • Develop systems requirements and workflow impacts for automation, system modifications, upgrades, and regulatory requirements
  • Undertake or supervise development of programs, queries, extracts, system configuration, and integration development
  • Ensure development and configuration efforts adhere to change management standards
  • Develop testing plans and perform testing and validation
  • Guide users in developing and conducting user acceptance testing
  • Manage small- to moderate-size projects and assign and manage team tasks
  • Prepare requirements, project plans, status updates, RFPs, feasibility analyses, and other project documentation
  • Evaluate new software solutions and technical and operational feasibility of alternatives
  • Train business trainers on new functions or processes
  • Provide guidance to less experienced staff
  • Communicate effectively with internal and/or external customers
  • Perform other duties as required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Associate's degree and 2 years systems experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience required
  • Minimum 1 year of experience at a level of proficiency equal to a Systems Analyst I
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Understanding of banking processes, supporting applications, and/or processing flows is a plus
  • Knowledge of mainframe, client-server, and/or web-hosted systems functions and processing flows
  • Experience developing test plans, testing, and validation
  • Problem-solving and analysis skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to exercise independent and creative thinking
  • Ability to plan, estimate, and manage tasks of oneself and others
  • Ability to act as Team Leader or Project Manager for projects of moderate size, scope, and complexity
  • Microsoft Office Suite proficiency
  • Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.; employment visa sponsorship is unavailable
