About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Perform customer installation, maintenance, and service calls promptly and effectively
Service electromechanical equipment such as self-checkout systems within an assigned territory
Perform maintenance, repair, preventive maintenance, and system overhauls
Act as a first-line response to customers
Communicate with customers to identify and deliver appropriate solutions
Organize and triage customer issues and proactively address potential problems
Complete formal training to provide customer support
Service or replace networking equipment such as access points or switches

Requirements

What you’ll need

Local candidate to specific geographic area
Authorized to work in the US
At least 18 years of age
Valid driver’s license and driving record that satisfies NCR fleet requirements
PC skills, basic electronic skills, and familiarity with specific hardware and operating systems
Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
Willingness to travel extensively, driving several hours per day
Availability for rotating and weekend shifts
Flexible shift work, including morning, afternoon, and evening start times and some holidays
Ability to carry and lift tools, parts, and equipment weighing up to 75 lbs. without assistance and up to 150 lbs. with assistance
Ability to bend, squat, walk, stand, sit, reach, work with hands, and repetitively grasp and manipulate objects
Willingness to be trained on and operate small-scale scissor lifts
Familiarity with large servers, mainframe computers, and imaging software (preferred)
A+ Certification, CompTIA, or N+ Certification (preferred)
One or more years of related experience (preferred)
